Where to start a raw food diet? A system for the effective transition to a raw food diet. The Main Secret of the Raw Food Diet Why is a raw food diet effective? The system for effective transition to a raw food diet read

Where to start a raw food diet? This is a frequent question lately. Let's figure it out in more detail. Eating raw food is extremely popular today. You can even say that this is not an ordinary diet, but a whole way of life. Many people change their lives dramatically when they become raw foodists. In particular, the circle of friends, profession and interests are changing. Adherents of this idea live by the laws of nature, increase immunity through swimming in an ice hole, meditation, carrying a positive. But above all, they are healed through food. In this regard, there are fanatical supporters of the raw food diet, or, conversely, its fierce opponents. And yet what is it: a fashionable diet or the best lifestyle?

The benefits and harms of a raw food diet will be presented below.

What it is?

The main idea of all this nutrition is the statement that man is an integral part of nature. Therefore, he cannot eat what does not exist in it, for example, fried potatoes, grilled chicken and other similar foods. Therefore, a raw food diet requires abandoning the standard menu, to which we have long been accustomed to. Where to start a raw food diet?

Natural products, which adherents of this diet call living, contain many vitamins, and in addition, minerals and trace elements, a significant part of which is destroyed during heat treatment. And in their raw form, they are better preserved and perfectly absorbed by the body. Thus, the main principle of building a raw food diet is to eat food exclusively raw.

Processed food is considered poison. And this is not only about the one that is sold in fast food. This statement is partly explained by science. Frying, along with cooking and even steam processing, leads to the fact that the products not only lose all their useful qualities, but also acquire harmful properties. For example, carcinogens appear in it - substances that can cause the formation of a malignant tumor, and in addition, isomers or free radicals. Therefore, a raw food diet insists on a "live" diet and rejection of junk food. This approach reduces the intake of hazardous substances into the body to zero.

Basic Principles of a Raw Food Diet for Beginners

To prove their point, raw foodists emphasize that only foods untouched by heat treatment contain so-called enzymes, which are particles of all life on earth, which allow vegetables and fruits to be properly digested in the body. The supply of these substances is maximum in the infant's body, but decreases over time with aging. But it can be replenished regularly. Switching to a raw food diet helps this.

The usual menu for all people is peeled food. But it is in the peel that the maximum amount of nutrients is found. In addition, products that are stored for a long time contain harmful preservatives in the form of dyes or flavor enhancers. They are, of course, unacceptable in a raw food diet.

The issue of the simultaneous use of various products deserves special attention. Often with each other, they require a lot of time, and in addition, energy for their digestion, which as a result leads to malabsorption. Compliance with the interval between the use of bananas, and then sprouted cereals contributes to the fact that they are digested in the body with little energy expenditure. And the unspent energy by the body is used for self-healing. How to start a raw food diet is interesting to many.

Raw foodists believe that malnutrition is the cornerstone of all diseases, be it metabolic disorders, heart disease or nervous ailments. And only thanks to a raw food diet, you can lead a truly high-quality lifestyle, and in addition, get rid of health problems, achieving the desired longevity.

Views

There are several types of raw food. In this case, the opinions of raw foodists differ. Some of them believe that in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle, it will be enough just to observe a fruit and vegetable diet, while others notice that it will not be superfluous to diversify it with meat and milk. So, today there are the following types of raw food diet:

  • Mixed or otherwise - an omnivorous raw food diet. Within this type, you can eat without restriction any raw food, be it vegetable or animal food. Meat, along with fish, milk and eggs, can be boiled. The use of jerky is allowed. In addition, raw foodists add a small amount of pepper and salt, as well as vegetable oil and honey to their taste.
  • Vegan raw food diet. This option is widespread. His supporters consume exclusively plant foods in berries, fruits, vegetables and cereals. These raw foodists include the Sprutorians and Jusorians. The former feed mainly on sprouted grains of cereal crops. And the Jusorian raw foodists consume only freshly prepared vegetable and fruit juices. They are also called green cocktails. We will consider recipes for a raw food diet of this type at the end of the article.
  • Vegetarian raw food diet. As the name suggests, this type of diet prohibits the consumption of meat and fish. But you can eat plant foods, eggs and milk.
  • Fruitarianism. Supporters of this type include only fruits and berries in their diet. They exclude vegetables and any other foods. For example, orthodox raw foodists can wait patiently for the fruit to fall from a tree or bush on its own. The natural fall, which occurs without additional help, serves as the moment the fetus is at the peak of its ripeness, and therefore usefulness.
  • A carnivorous raw food diet. In this case, fruits and vegetables are almost never added to the diet. The main focus of such raw foodists is on seafood, meat and eggs, and in addition, on animal fats instead of traditional carbohydrates. Some northern peoples on the planet have eaten in this way since the Paleolithic era. Raw food recipes can be very varied.
  • Monotrophic raw food diet. According to this type of food, only one type of product is eaten at a time. There is a pause between the receptions. For example, apples are used for breakfast, and after an hour, sprouted cereals are used, and so on.
  • Raw food diet in terms of the number of useful components. There are special tables that indicate the content of vitamins along with trace elements, fats, proteins and carbohydrates in a particular product. According to them, products can be mixed only in a certain amount, and in addition, they can be used separately from each other.

We continue to consider the benefits and harms of a raw food diet.

Minuses

Like any other diet, the raw food diet has its drawbacks:

  • With strict adherence to the rules, for example, against the background of a complete rejection of even vegetables, cereals and root crops, the body may receive less vitamins with trace elements. Because of this, the metabolism will be disrupted.
  • In the conditions of refusal to eat fish with seafood, iodine deficiency appears. The raw food diet has also been proven to be associated with factors of destruction of bones and teeth, and in addition, with damage to enamel. For this reason, adherents of such a diet urge all their supporters to take regular sun baths in order to provide the body with vitamin D.
  • According to some reports, a significant decrease in vitamin B12 is found in fanatical raw foodists.
  • In addition, the benefits of a raw food diet for pregnant and lactating women, when the body desperately needs a comprehensive intake of nutrition, also remains a big question.

Contraindications

Despite the fact that for many a raw food diet is a miracle, there are still certain diseases in which it is not recommended to eat unprocessed thermally processed food. Among such ailments, the following pathologies are given:

  • The presence of diseases of the digestive system. Acids contained in raw foods can irritate the mucous membranes of the organs, and this will happen all the time. Therefore, when switching to raw food, you need to carefully weigh the pros and cons of this lifestyle.
  • The presence of allergic diseases. Many types of fruits, especially red ones, and in addition, nuts and pollen can provoke severe allergic conditions or lead to exacerbation of existing ones.

It is important to figure out in advance what you can and cannot eat with a raw food diet.

When can you switch to such an attraction?

It is believed that the maximum need for nutrients is required by a growing body, and therefore by children and adolescents. True, even at the age of twenty, some structures in the body still continue to develop. Therefore, the optimal transition to a new diet is considered to be the age after thirty, when the body is fully formed. There is also another explanation. By about middle age, people acquire specific beliefs with intentions of what they expect from themselves and what they want to receive. With clear goals in place, it's much easier to completely change your lifestyle.

Transition

First you need to decide why a person wants to try this food system. You need to understand whether this is required as part of a permanent diet or temporary, for example, as a way to lose weight. Many people make the transition to a raw food diet as part of an experiment, for the sake of something new in life, and in addition, because it is fashionable today. But to follow the lead of the fashion or your neighbor on the entrance, of course, is not worth it. And in the event that a person has chosen such food as a standard for himself, then he should be approached with all responsibility. This is the only way to achieve real results. There are two options for switching to raw food:

  • The first requires every day to include as many raw foods as possible on the menu, gradually replacing the rest. At the same time, on the first day, fried, and in addition, smoked dishes along with coffee and sweets should disappear from the diet.
  • You can immediately stop eating thermally processed foods. Most raw foodists claim that the second method allows you to quickly get used to. But the chances of failure, of course, are much greater.

There are always several critical moments due to which a person can not stand it, returning to the old menu. Knowing about them, beginners will be able to adapt more easily. As a rule, the pitfalls in this case are constant thoughts about tasty, previously familiar food and the lack of a clear goal.

How to start a raw food diet right, not everyone knows.

What is the right way to switch to a raw food diet?

First of all, you need to remember all the time that the process of switching to a raw food diet is not a simple whim, but a conscious decision that will allow you to improve your health by reducing excess weight, increasing your interest in life, and, in addition, to an active pastime, making new friends. For starters, you should skip specific foods, such as your favorite sodas along with beer on weekends. It is important to pay attention to how difficult this period will be.

It is also recommended to keep a raw food diary. In the diary, you can write down any feelings with thoughts and information about the products that you like, as well as those that are best avoided, that is, you need to record everything that has changed in a person since the transition. On the title page, you should list and highlight in bright color all the reasons for which the person agreed to give up tasty pies and Coca-Cola. It is also worth writing down all your achievements in a diary, for example, how easy it was to switch to raw food, how was the first day on healthy food, and so on. You can also note your failures, as well as how you plan to deal with them. How to start a raw food diet and how to set yourself up?

It is equally important that there is sufficient willpower so as not to give up on your venture halfway through. In the event that you really want a fried chicken with pickled cucumbers, it is better to eat them, but so that it does not eventually turn into a habit.

It is imperative that you notify the people with whom you plan to continue communicating. This will help avoid unnecessary arguments and conversations.

And finally, you should plan your diet based on the season. For example, summer and autumn are rich in vegetables and fruits, and spring is rich in greenery. In winter, when eating a raw food diet, you can eat foods that can be stored for a long time in the cellar. And then the dining table and stomach will never be empty.

Transition errors

When moving, people should try to avoid the following mistakes:

  • Try to sit on two chairs at once. In this case, it is impossible to violate the ban on mixing food, especially to drink alcoholic beverages. Sometimes it happens that people eat right every other day, and the rest of the time they allow themselves any food. This, of course, is self-deception. With this type of diet, raw foodists often have breakdowns. Therefore, if you have already made a decision, then you need to forget about many of the usual diet.
  • Excessive consumption of legumes. Everyone was told that meat is good for protein. But raw foodists don't eat it. Where, then, does the precious protein come from? Most of it is found in beans, beans and peas. Therefore, newly minted raw foodists begin to absorb them in huge quantities. Trying to send in as much of the right food as possible, people forget that the body is not yet used to it. This can only cause an upset stomach. Therefore, moderation in diet, even the healthiest one, is what raw foodists practice.
  • Forcing yourself to eat everything. Everyone has their own taste preferences. Therefore, in the event that a person does not like cabbage, one cannot force oneself to eat it, even with a deep conviction that it is for the good. Everything has its time. Maybe after a few years she will turn into a favorite product, but until this happens, you should not rape your body.

Thus, the raw food diet has become a very popular way of eating today. But before deciding to switch to it, you need to determine your goals, and also understand whether this is really required directly by the person himself and his body.

  • Lunch: vegetable salad (cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, peppers), green buckwheat.
  • Afternoon snack: dried fruits.
  • Dinner: vegetable smoothie made from avocado, tomato, herbs, raw bread.

Let's look at simple recipes.

Young zucchini are rubbed on a fine grater. To them are added grated carrots, coriander, nutmeg, finely chopped garlic, salt, and all this is seasoned with olive or linseed oil. The salad must be left to marinate for half an hour.

To begin the story with what a raw food diet is and how to become a raw foodist follows with a brief excursion into the history of this movement in Russia. For the first time, Lev Nikolaevich Tolstoy showed his love for raw food, who, due to his state of health, took raw food. True, there is some opinion according to which the famous writer nevertheless ate raw eggs and mayonnaise. He actively collaborated with adherents of the vegetarian trend from many European countries.

The founder in the USSR was the well-known ideologue of naturist-raw foodists Aterov (Arshavir Ter-Hovhannisyan). He created his own society, numbering in the 70s about 400 people adhering to this lifestyle. In 1967 he released the first book, which formed the basis of his subsequent practice, and even after almost 50 years, it is incredibly popular. As an experiment, in order to prove the correctness of his teachings, Aterov, having lost two children, decided to raise his remaining daughter strictly on raw food.

Despite the impressive effect, he was persecuted by classical medicine for his purely "anti-scientific" approach. Nevertheless, he gave life to a movement that was new for its time, his followers are promoting it to this day. As for the current state of the raw food diet in Russia, there are dozens of different public organizations, several hundred thousand Internet resources that mention this request. Several festivals are held annually, in which 2000-5000 people take part, and this is just the beginning.

Raw food - where to start

First of all, a person who decides to take this path is determined with motivation, that is, he establishes for himself why it is necessary to do this. With such an analysis, it is worth mentioning: raw food is not just another diet, but a real way of life, which, ideally, will have to be followed until the very end. We will have to fully adapt to such behavior of the body, both from a physiological and psychological point of view.

Attention should be focused on the positive aspect of such a transition, namely, improving the general condition of the body, its high-quality cleansing. But if a firm decision is made to change your lifestyle, it is important to properly assess and analyze what a raw food diet is and how to become a raw foodist before taking any steps in this direction.

How to switch to a raw food diet

There are two ways to start your transition to a raw food diet:

  • Sharply - a kind of strong-willed decision, without any compromises. True, it will take incredible efforts, and an understanding of the very course of the transition process. After excluding cooked food from the diet, a powerful energy flow is instantly released in the human body itself, smoothly turning into self-cleaning. If attention was previously paid to health in an inadequate measure, a number of complications arise. The result is sudden temperature jumps, the effect of "exfoliation" on the skin, exacerbation of allergic diseases, weakness of the whole body, and much more.
  • Smoothly is a safe way for the body. The transition to this way of eating is about smoothness and absence of sudden changes - this will be the optimal solution for you. Unhealthy foods are gradually eliminated from the diet, being replaced by completely useful ones. The optimal supplement to the diet will be "green cocktails", which can help to avoid unwanted stress. Cocktails are also an element of a gentle regimen for your own body, which is their strength and usefulness.

Important!

You can try the practice of "curative fasting" before starting the transition. This approach will allow the body to optimally and in the shortest possible time adapt to the new diet. As fasting, a system using either one liquid or herbal teas can be selected, the second option is preferable.

In order to make the transition to a raw food diet as efficiently and efficiently as possible, you will need to take into account an important aspect - the choice of the optimal methodology. Today, a huge variety of different methods have been proposed, developed both in the classical understanding of the teachings of Aterov, by himself, his students, or completely new, based on a combination of the physiological characteristics of the organism modern man and oriental cultures. In any case, the first practical step will be to analyze and read a huge variety of useful books and publications on this issue.

We bring you an excerpt from the book of Shemshuk - "Raw food diet - the path to immortality" - The stunning consequences of a raw food diet/ chapter 9 .:

About the pros of a raw food diet

With the help of a raw food diet, the founder of Soviet nutritional science M.I. Pevzner treated diseases such as gout, eczema, diathesis, obesity, diabetes mellitus, pancreatitis, fungal diseases, all heart diseases, migraines, neurasthenia, epilepsy, schizophrenia, insomnia, as well as all chronic diseases of the digestive system, liver and kidneys.

Especially a raw food diet is effective in the fight against excess weight. In a month, a person loses 4-8 kilograms, while he does not starve and feels great. In 1834, Sylvester Graham used a raw food diet during a cholera epidemic in America and none of his followers fell ill with cholera. As the pioneer of the raw food diet in Russia, A.N. Chuprun, the anti-cancer diets of Evers, Gerzon, Ann Wigmore, Cornelius Moerman are all raw food based.

A raw food diet allows you to give birth to healthy offspring, which is very important, since there are no absolutely healthy children by now. A raw food diet has a good effect in weaning alcoholics from drunkenness and is a good preventive measure against all colds. In women who eat raw food, bleeding stops during menstruation, but the ovulation process persists, i.e. the ability to bear children is not impaired, but on the contrary is strengthened.

Starting the process of transition to the practice of a raw food diet, one should take an extremely responsible approach to the issue of studying the basic principles of the method, the characteristics of the products used and the rules for preparing them for eating. effective raw food diet and may be harmful to health.

Each person has their own reasons for becoming a raw foodist. And everyone has the right to independently choose the depth of immersion in the system. Lacto-eaters can include dairy products, raw eggs in their diet, and those who adhere to the omnivorous and carnivorous types of raw food can eat thermally unprocessed meat and fish. However, in the classic raw food diet, there are certain principles of effective nutrition on which the method is based. Here is a list of them:

  • Refusal from products of animal origin. Food products must be alive, capable of supplying a person with live energy;
  • Refusal from thermally processed foods. A temperature above 43 degrees during cooking destroys almost all nutrients. Raw foodists can only eat foods, the exposure temperature of which does not exceed 43 degrees;
  • Refusal from chemical additives and chemically produced products. A raw food diet is, first of all, a system of healing the body, which does not imply the consumption of chemically processed foods. You cannot use refined oils, margarine, spread, various E-components, etc.;
  • Products must be of vegetable origin. You can only eat natural plant foods. Plants contain a huge variety of vitamins and minerals and energize a person with life.

An effective raw food diet allows you to almost completely replace animal products with living components of plant nature. So, to provide the body with the substances necessary for the normal functioning of cells, it is extremely important to properly organize the diet. The issue of choosing products is not so much important here as maintaining the balance of consumed proteins, fats and carbohydrates. So, daily on the raw foodist's table there should be foods from the following list:

  1. Fruits- energize, rich in various vitamins. The emphasis should be on the seasonal fruits of your region, because it is more likely that they were grown without chemical processing, but we definitely include: citrus fruits, melons, avocado, quince, pineapple, kiwi, banana, pomegranate, figs, etc.;
  2. Vegetables- better seasonal for the same reasons. Be sure to eat broccoli, eggplant, zucchini, kohlrabi, white cabbage and cauliflower, carrots, beets, Jerusalem artichoke, radish, daikon, turnips, etc.;
  3. Dried fruits- all are extremely useful, but you should not eat dried fruits that have been dried incorrectly, as a significant proportion of nutrients can be lost;
  4. Nuts, legumes and mushrooms- perfectly replace animal protein;
  5. Seaweed- a source of important trace elements and iodine
  6. Unrefined vegetable oils - contain essential polyunsaturated fatty acids;
  7. Berries;
  8. Greens;
  9. Cereals;
  10. Seeds;
  11. Honey and its derivatives.

It is very important for raw foodists to consume large amounts of fresh herbs in various forms.... Its share in the diet can be increased to 50%. The protein content of green foods is significantly higher than that of meat and is much better absorbed. Don't limit yourself to the popular parsley, dill and salads. It is advisable to add arugula, cilantro, celery, vegetable tops, healing wild herbs collected only in ecologically clean places to the menu. Fresh greens are best eaten by chewing well and not adding related products to them. But this method is not always convenient. Therefore, greens can be used in the form of fresh herbal cocktails prepared in a blender.

There is an opinion that cocktails of this kind radically change the structure of cells in the human body and are able to cure even the most serious diseases. It is difficult to say whether this is true or not, nevertheless, properly prepared smoothies will help the body become much healthier, stronger and more resilient.

An important point in applying raw food practices is the proper preparation of foods for consumption. It's no secret that vegetables and fruits are often treated with pesticides, so they should be thoroughly treated before eating. Baking soda is good for this. In addition, you can find special eco-friendly products for processing fruits and vegetables on sale.
A raw food diet does not imply a complete rejection of heat treatment: products can be heated up to 43 degrees... For these purposes, there is a wide variety of household appliances designed to help raw foodists in the difficult pursuit of proper nutrition: dryers, thermo pots and other modern achievements.

Vegetables, fruits and berries can be harvested for the winter using the fermentation and steeping method. So, sauerkraut, pickled apples and cranberries will retain their medicinal properties and help to eat properly in winter.

It is very useful to use sprouted cereals, because seeds carry an extremely powerful energy charge. The seed contains a program for growth and development, therefore, together with it, a person receives a message for healing and self-healing.

In general, a raw food diet is a mindset based on a conscious attitude towards nutrition and a continuous striving to improve the quality and duration of life.
Look for, choose, be creative, and the desired result will not be long in coming: you will become healthier, lose weight, cleanse your soul and body of negative energy and feel unprecedented strength.

SERUM DIARIES

Modern man gravitates more and more towards primitive manifestations. And even the most recent achievements of civilization sometimes pale against the background of some "newfangled", ideologically presented "savagery". Take the raw food diet, for example, is an ongoing dietary trend that is gaining more and more admirers. Involuntarily I wanted to figure out what is the "trick" of this peculiar philosophy of nutrition, the benefits and harms of which are inextricably linked with each other.

In the culture of raw food, a lot of statements are mixed, sometimes exclusively subjective. Therefore, novice raw foodists need to study the issue in detail in order to avoid disappointments and offensive mistakes in the future.

You can, of course, blindly believe the statements in the series: "A raw food diet promotes spiritual development, longevity, impeccable health and excellent physical shape." Or maybe not blindly. Because, for example, you cannot hide damaged teeth from others, and thinning enamel and caries are common problems of fanatical russula.

However, we will return to the teeth a little later, but we will start with the "gray matter", comfortably nestled a little higher.

Well hello brain! Well, hello, raw foodist!

Harvard primatologist and anthropologist Richard Wrangham believes that it was the use of fire to cook food that turned great apes into intelligent humans. Because the human brain began to develop much more actively from the moment the direct owner of its rudiments began to process food in a thermal way. This is because cooked food contains more calories, and this factor actively contributes to the early formation of brain neurons.

“Your brain just won't be able to function properly if you don't provide it with enough energy, which can only come from cooked food!” Says Wrangham. Studying the culture of raw food, he came to the conclusion that such a nutritional system is not enough for a healthy full-fledged development. And the most Negative influence a raw food diet can affect a growing child's body, especially a child's brain ...

Raw foodists reject this theory with indignation and proudly display photos of their cheerful, healthy children on social networks.

It is, of course, very pleasant to look at such babies. On the other hand, how can the intellectual development of a child be assessed from such photographs? Unless the kid himself, having matured, will post his own blog on some resource and tell how the raw food diet helped him in life.

Raw foodists can't live with their teeth?

Some raw foodists are convinced that living food is excellent for self-cleaning of the mouth and self-whitening of teeth, and believe that mechanical cleaning is unnecessary for them. At the same time, they literally disarm with the argument: "Not a single animal in nature brushes its teeth, because it eats right."

Apparently, these citizens simply did not sniff the same monkeys. I don't think macaques or gorillas breathe out the scent of orchids. On the other hand, their teeth are really good - and this must be admitted!

Personally, it always seemed to me that animals do not brush their teeth, because they rarely sell toothpaste in forests and deserts. In addition, it is rather difficult to imagine an elephant or a hippo wielding a toothbrush. Immediately I remember the cartoon about the crocodile, which was being brushed by a hummingbird bird ...

Some books say, "practice a raw food diet for healthier teeth." However, many people forget that by consuming any food or drink, with the exception of water, we change the acid-base balance in the oral cavity. Accordingly, if the pH balance is not restored in time, the teeth, in the literal sense, will not be sweet.

Raw foodists believe that all vitamins and minerals necessary for dental health are found in apricots, apples, currants, grapes, gooseberries, carrots, cherries, peaches, pineapples, cucumbers, cabbage, green peas, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, legumes, and germinated wheat.

Nevertheless, one person said that almost all of his Fructorian friends have problems with their teeth, which turn noticeably yellow or even dark brown, and some developed periodontal disease and came out of fillings.

The russula lady also complained that before the raw food diet her teeth, nails and hair were in excellent condition, and after 2 years of fruitorianism her teeth became sensitive to cold, hot, sour, etc. Even to the touch of the tongue. In addition, the enamel has become monstrously thinned, caries has intensified with might and main.

True, another fan of the fruit-based raw food diet easily managed to solve the problem of tooth sensitivity. She just got the right toothpaste.

However, there are still positive examples:

“After 1-2 months on a raw food diet and not brushing my teeth, I got heavy plaque and my teeth turned yellow,” says the raw vegan. “However, I decided to continue not to brush my teeth. I wanted to wait a bit. There was some kind of inner confidence that with proper nutrition, the body would still return to normal on its own. And he was right: raw food did its job. After another 2 months, the teeth became white, the plaque disappeared. ”

"Dentists say that tooth enamel is not restored - that's not true!" - I was encouraged by another fan of the raw food diet. “When I switched to a raw food diet, I had a dimple with a black spot on one of my teeth. Now this dimple is gone, and the blackness has disappeared. "

As practice shows, the causes of dental problems in raw foodists are as follows:

At first, sugar and acid found in foods, especially fruits, shift the acid-base balance in the mouth towards increased acidity, which destroys tooth enamel. After a certain time after eating, the pH balance is restored. However, in the case of frequent meals, recovery does not have time to occur.

Secondly, from nuts, seeds and dried fruits, food residues remain in the mouth, creating an ideal environment for the multiplication of acid-producing bacteria, which are the cause of tooth decay and other dental diseases.

Thirdly, Raw foodists may ignore calcium and magnesium-rich foods in their diets, which do not help to strengthen tooth enamel.

In order to protect your teeth from all these problems, it makes sense to take the following preventive measures:

1. Rinse your mouth with water or brush your teeth after every meal.

2. Brush your teeth thoroughly 2 times a day or more. It is desirable not less than 3 minutes. It is especially important to clean and rinse your mouth after sleep so that all the substances released during the night do not remain in the mouth and do not enter the body along with food.

3. Make sure that dehydrated foods (dried fruits, seeds, nuts) do not take up a large proportion of the daily diet.

4. Eat more greens and fruits in season. For raw food beginners, it is advised to consume sesame milk, which is high in calcium.

5. Use organic toothpastes and brushes (miswak), dental floss.

Raw foodists believe that you can brush your teeth with eggplant: bite off a piece, chew until gruel, and then brush your teeth with this gruel. There is also an opinion that honey is much more effective than regular toothpaste. They also recommend daily use of a teaspoon of clay with a pinch of sea salt.

Raw food diet. Psychology issues

In addition to the pleasant consequences in the form of losing excess weight, a raw food diet often leads to obvious distortions in the spiritual plan. Comprehensively affects the personality of a person. And all because the transition to "living food" significantly changes the psychology of a person. By significantly infringing on their interests in food, the raw food eater takes pride. He lives by attitudes like: "raw food eaters are always healthy"; “To be a raw foodist is to be a real person,” etc. Often, the feeling of one's own chosenness is off the charts, resulting in contempt for those who continue to eat traditionally.

Some raw foodists are really "covered":

“I used to think that most people can't be wrong about nutrition. But when I switched to a raw food diet, I suddenly realized that I was surrounded by people of a different worldview! At home, on the street, in the subway, on TV, at work - smug, fat faces are everywhere ... ”- Writes a raw food fan. “But how can you be calm when they say that tangerines will be allergic if I eat them in kilograms, and there is no allergy!How can you be calm watching chlorinated chicken cook in the kitchen? Or when “friends” convince you to drink beer with fish? Or when they mockingly ask: “When will you return to your normal diet? Where does calcium come from for a raw food diet? "I could not find words to express all that indescribable range of emotions that I experienced! Until one day I realized that the world absolutely does not care! I have not been able to convince a single person of the benefits of raw food! ”.

The raw foodist often tries to impose his principles on others, even if they are a thousand times useful, but direct pressure rarely brings constructive results.

And for the raw foodist himself, the factor of a radical change in the sensations associated with gluttony is important. It's one thing when a person is used to experiencing the pleasure of delicious food, and quite another when food turns for him exclusively as a source of energy.

I remember that I asked a whaler if he liked the taste of whale meat, to which he said: “I like the effect this food has. Strength appears, you don't feel the cold. You can't survive in Chukotka without such meat. And at the expense of taste - this is a secondary question ... "

Raw food diet. The quality of life

According to statistics, raw foodists in old age feel better than many of their peers and do not plan to spend their pension on medications and visits to doctors.

However, one should not forget about other statistics, because among the long-lived people there are meat lovers, chicken lovers, and fish lovers. There are even drinkers and smokers.

Accordingly, there is no point in turning an addiction to a particular diet into dogma. If you yourself decide to become a slave to food ideology, then this does not mean at all that you need to fanatically lure people into your raw food sect who feel great, periodically consuming juicy Argentinean steaks or boiled chicken.

The main problem of raw foodists is that for many of them this food system will turn into a philosophy of life, almost a religion, which, instead of helping as a physically and spiritually healthy diet, simply subjugates his brain, body and soul ...

Critical days turn into holidays

Many women and girls are afraid to switch to a raw food diet, as this diet often leads to the end of the menstrual cycle. However, in his book “ Live food”A. Eret optimistically states that menstruation stops“ when the female body is completely cleansed thanks to a healing diet ”.

The general essence of a number of scientific works regarding menstruation is as follows: the greater the level of slagging of the female body, the more abundant, painful and longer critical days. The cleaner the body, the more painless and shorter menstruation is.

But how personal experience raw food fans share:

“After the menstruation stopped, I did ovulation tests, they all turned out to be negative. The diagnosis is polycystic. Due to the dramatic weight loss, I had a hormonal disruption. ”

“Having lost my period and ovulation, I continued to eat raw food until the instinct for self-preservation won out.”

“I lost my period and ovulation on pure CME. Together with the doctor, they began to add some animal products, and when the follicle began to ripen, I immediately rushed to conceive a child ... "

“I have already had the 2nd year of absence of menstruation (the last 6 months of CME without breakdowns, before that there was a transitional year with small and infrequent breakdowns). However, I don't panic. I feel great. "

“I have not had critical days for half a year. They disappeared as soon as I switched to CME ”.

“I tend to believe that the absence of menstruation is an indicator of a woman's health, but vice versa. I felt less pain during menstruation after eating only raw vegetables and fruits for half a month. ”

“After switching to a raw food diet, for the first time in my life, I didn't have to take pain relievers during my period. Although I used to drink 10 tablets a day. In general, I enjoy life and hope that I will no longer have to wait for the fateful day with a sinking heart ”.

As practice shows, even after a prolonged complete cessation of menstruation, menstruation can resume if a woman returns to her usual diet after a raw food diet.

Raw food menu

For a raw foodist, juices are also food. In addition, very useful option food - one type of fruit or vegetables at a time. For raw food beginners, the menu can be expanded with seeds, nuts, cereals, sprouted legumes.

Plus, greens are a treasure trove of nutrients other than fruits and vegetables for any raw foodist.

Raw food diet and weight loss

“At the beginning of the raw food diet, the weight was about 90 kg. In the third month I have lost 62 kg. " - Shares raw food experience.

As practice shows, when switching to a raw food diet, the body begins to cleanse as much as possible “rubbish heaps” accumulated on traditional food. The duration of such weight loss depends on the individual characteristics of the organism: it can last six months, a year, maybe longer.

Over time, again, taking into account the individual characteristics of each organism, the previous weight can return. Many raw-food girls look at themselves in the mirror with horror and cannot understand where the "excess" in the waist and hips came from. It is possible that high-calorie foods such as avocados, nuts, durian, etc., become sources of excess weight.

Chew without crunching, live without being sad!

Eating soaked and sprouted nuts and grains is healthier than eating the same foods dry. but digestive system in any case, it works in full. To be convinced of this, it is enough to swallow a few pieces of walnut or a handful of seeds.

The exceptional value of sprouted seeds is that sprouts are truly "living" food. And its inclusion in the diet is a unique opportunity to use in food a whole living organism that has all natural biological properties and is in the phase of maximum vital activity. Under natural conditions, germinating seeds during the first few days strain all their strength to win the fight against millions of microbes, form a root as quickly as possible, gain a foothold in the soil and bring their first leaves to the sun. It is during this short period that a person should use them in order to get strength and health from such an extraordinary product.

According to Brazilian scientists Susana Herculano-Huzel and Karina Fonseca-Azeveda, for all systems to work properly, a person would have to continuously chew raw food for 8-10 hours a day.

Raw foodists consider the statement of both experts to be complete nonsense and state that these scientists have never tasted real live food. Based on their own practice, they argue that it takes 5-10 minutes longer to chew raw food than the usual thermo-processed foods.

As you know, popular wisdom says: "He who chews longer, he lives longer." Well, or like Ilf and Petrov: "Chewing food thoroughly, you help society."

Raw Blogger Recipe: "Raw Squid Is Delicious!"

“Today I brushed aside all fears and decided to try raw seafood. Squids were bought in a store with a poetic name "Ocean". Uncooked, uncooked, purple in color. Instead of the recommended seasoning mix, I made my own. The method is very simple - I read the names, sniffed, wrinkled my forehead and decided what to put and what not. Then he defrosted the squid. He took off the skin. Cut into pieces, covered with seasonings prepared in the above way. Then he squeezed out the juice of 1/3 lemon (for 200 g of squid) and mixed. Bliss! Such yummy! A bit like he - this is a raw fish dish with an insane amount of spices.

And what can you say about your system of EFFECTIVE raw food diet, as you to she came and what are the main aspects of your effective raw food diet that help present and future raw foodists?
5) According to many "scientists" of naturopathy and a healthy, natural, lifestyle, and from my own experience I know that health depends directly on nutrition. I experienced it myself, getting rid of pancreatitis, stomach ulcers, sinusitis and problems with food digestion, but I tried to cleanse as suggested by experienced naturopaths and my microflora could not recover normally after appendicitis was removed. I would like to know how you feel about body cleansing and which ones do you use?
6) Denis, I decided to break this last question, tk. in fact, this is one question, but addressed to different people and methods.
6.1) The first would like to know how you feel about the writings of Arnold Eret and his mucusless diet, which he wrote about 100 years ago?
