However, judging by the posture and gaze directed towards the interlocutor, she is far from indifferent to the essence of the dialogue, just like the arguments given by the opponent sitting opposite.

The author managed to portray what is happening so accurately that everyone who sees the picture will be able to understand the essence of what is happening without words. Gestures, clothes, postures - everything suggests that we are faced with intelligent young people, perhaps talking about the upcoming session or the latest news. Their dialogue does not go beyond what is permissible and does not turn into swearing, although there is a noticeable note of tension inherent in any dispute.

No one wants to give in, but the young man's arguments seem to be more solid, so the girl did not immediately find a compelling argument to defend her position and thought about it. They sit in the dining room and argue, and during this occupation they are completely oblivious to their surroundings.

The guy gives more reasoned answers and most likely he will win the argument. The girl thought, and it is not a fact that she will find an answer to the words of her interlocutor. Yu. Pimenov was able to so subtly depict what is happening in his picture that any person looking at it will immediately understand what its essence is and what is depicted on it.
