Specifications Dacia Sandero. Updated Dacia Logan and Sandero: details of the interior, exterior and interior of the Dacia Sandero Stepway

The Renault concern Sandero models for Europe under its own logo, as well as under the Dacia logo. This is a well-known Romanian automobile brand for Eastern Europe. In fact, Dacia Sandero and Renault Sandero are twins not only in appearance, but also in configuration, equipment and technical characteristics. The main platform for them was the equally popular Logan sedan.

general information

The release of the five-door B-class hatchbacks of the Dacia Sandero and Renault Sandero can be divided into two stages or two generations. So, the Romanian model Dacia Sandero first rolled off the assembly line in 2008. The production of representatives of the first generation of the popular Sandero hatchbacks was carried out until 2013.

Restyled models of the Romanian manufacturer have been produced from 2013 to the present day, in contrast to the second generation Sandero of Russian production, the production of which started in 2104. These hatchbacks have enjoyed a high level of demand due to their economy and high level of reliability. The engines that were installed on these cars were positioned by the manufacturer as millionaires. In addition, the suspension, with which the Sandero models were equipped, was borrowed from Logan, and was also distinguished by high reliability and efficiency. Spare parts are relatively affordable, and the work on repairing the suspension itself was not super-complicated and could be done by hand in a garage.

Since the described hatchbacks are developed on the same platform and have many similar indicators and characteristics, the main distinguishing features are the line of power units that are equipped with models of Russian and Romanian production.

Power units

Dacia Sandero models have a large number of powertrain selection options. So, if we compare the characteristics of the second generation Sandero models under the logo of Dacia and the French concern, then the Romanian brand has a clear advantage in this regard. Both petrol and diesel options are presented. At the same time, models running on gasoline are presented with an engine volume of 1.2 liters, as well as the most economical option with a power unit volume of only 0.9 liters and at the same time having a capacity of 90 hp. (5250 rpm) and having three working cylinders. This power figure with a small engine volume was achieved thanks to the installation of an innovative low-inertia turbine. Models with 1.2 liter engines have a power rating of 75 hp. and practically no different from the engines on the Sandero models under the French logo.

Diesel Dacia Sandero of the second generation are represented by two fairly popular options. At the same time, the working volume of their engines is the same and amounts to 1461 cc, and the power indicators are different - 75 and 90 hp. The models are equipped with additional supercharging with turbochargers. Distributed fuel injection is provided with an injector.

The choice of Renault Sandero in terms of the range of power units is a little more modest and options with gasoline engines a volume of 1.2 liters (power 75 hp) and a volume of 1.6 liters (power 82 and 102 hp).

Overall and operational indicators

The dimensions of Renault Sandero and Dacia cars are slightly different. So, the length of the car Dacia Sandero is 4057 mm, while in Renault this figure is 4080 mm. The width of the body is also not in favor of the Romanian car. For Dacia Sandero this figure is 1733 mm, and for Renault it is 1757. The models are completely identical in height - 1523 mm. The ground clearance is slightly higher for the Romanian car - by 8 mm (163 mm versus 155 mm).

The wheelbase of both the representative of the Romanian car industry and the Sandero models under the logo of the French automaker is the same and is 2589 mm. At the same time, the track of both the front and rear wheels of these hatchbacks is also no different and is, respectively, 1497 mm and 1486 mm. The size of the tires used is 185 x 65 R15.

The volume of the trunk of the two hatchbacks is 320 liters, and with the transformed backrests of the rear row seats, this figure rises to 1200 liters.

The fuel tanks are also the same, in which it is allowed to place up to 50 liters of fuel, regardless of the configuration or characteristics of the power unit.

If we compare Renault and Dacia Sandero hatchbacks with the same engine displacement, for example, 1.2 liters, then you can observe some difference in fuel consumption readings per 10 kilometers. So, in city mode, this figure is the same and amounts to 7.7 liters, in the suburban cycle it is more economical than Dacia Sandero, which consumes 0.3 liters less than its opponent (5.1 liters versus 4.9 liters). In mixed mode, although not much, it is also more economical than Dacia - 5.9 liters versus 6 liters.

Chassis and brakes

The front suspension of the Dacia Sandero, as well as the Renault of the same model, is independent of the MacPherson type with the presence of anti-roll bars. The rear suspension is semi-independent, equipped with telescopic shock absorbers with coil springs.

The braking system provides a disc structure on the front wheels of both cars and a drum mechanism on the rear. Despite the lack of ventilation holes on the surface of the discs, their design is considered quite successful and is not subject to overheating. Depending on the selected configuration, the Dacia models are equipped with ABS and ESP systems.

Exterior

Unlike Sandero with the logo of the French automaker, the Romanian-made model is equipped with a radiator grille of a slightly different shape. The headlights of this model visually completely merge into one line with the grille, thereby forming a single space. Renault Sandero lacks a smooth transition and a small protrusion separates the lower part of the headlights and radiator grill. The large emblem flaunts both in one and the other model.

The shape and design of the headlights is also different. If in Renault cars the direction indicators are located on the inside of the headlight module closer to the radiator grill, then in Dacia Sandero they are on the outside. It is worth paying attention to the lower part of the bumper. The sub-radiator grille in Romanian cars is a little narrower and does not provide for a separate edging for the fog lights. The rest of the cars are identical, and the existing technical differences are insignificant.

Dacia Sandero, 2009

Bought Daca Sandero three years ago. The car is structurally not very good. The headlight switches are located on the turn-on lever, which often turn on from a light touch when turning on the turn. You have to follow all the time. The clutch and brake pedals are vibrated at high frequencies from the engine (or gearbox), so your feet itch after an hour's drive. At a speed of more than 100 km / h, it is unstable (like a "tin can") due to high ground clearance, low weight and narrow tires. Reverse gear on the gearbox is not protected in any way from accidental incorrect gear shifting, which is generally dangerous. The Dacia Sandero gearshift lever knocks on the limiter when the lever moves all the way to the right or left. The first and third speeds in the gearbox are so close that you turn on the third instead of the first (until you get used to it). The center of the steering wheel is occupied by an airbag so that it is difficult to see the dashboard. To expand the rear seat and increase the volume of the trunk, you have to remove the seat. When starting off, the car seems to "think", and then grabs (something with electronics). In general, I advise you to buy something else for the same money. Although as anyone.

Dignity : good motor.

disadvantages : there are more of them than merits.

Dacia Sandero, 2011

I have this car under the Dacia brand. I have been driving for more than 2 years. Dacia Sandero is not whimsical in operation. Consumption - 7 - 8 l / 100 km in the city. I did not service it under warranty - it was expensive. During the operation, I changed the oil in the engine 2 times, and does not require anything else. The suspension is soft, confidently swallows holes. The dynamics are average, on the highway at speeds of about 100 km / h it is difficult to start overtaking. The brakes are good. You can immediately throw out the acoustic speakers - "junk". Yes, by the way, despite the frankly cheap plastic of the Dacia Sandero interior, there is not a single cricket yet, I myself am surprised. Previously, he had almost the entire line of VAZ, and so, do not mess with "Zhiguli", this car is the best alternative to them.

Dignity : energy intensity of the suspension, huge doorways, unpretentiousness, efficiency.

disadvantages : too unsightly plastic interior, lack of power steering, exterior of the rear of the car, the stern looks a bit heavy.

Dacia Sandero, 2011

The car is 1.5 years old. Mileage 32 thousand. In general, Dacia Sandero has established itself as an unpresentable and simple car. The engine is frankly "dull" (innovation "90s"), but not picky about gasoline, and "eats" very moderately. The suspension deserves praise - it delicately protects the fifth points on our pits. The Dacia Sandero's interior is simple enough, but not claustrophobic. The trunk is roomy and provokes to leave everything that does not fit on the balcony. The stove is a "song" sung in the polar night. The only difference with the sauna is the absence of hot steam and drunken friends. The gear ratios of the fan blades are well chosen. After the second position, withered foliage and obsolete mosquitoes of the past summer actively fly into the salon, tk. there is no cabin filter in the database. At revs over 3000, there is an auditory hallucination: I want to fasten the rear passengers in case of turbulence when overcoming the sound barrier. However, the speedometer needle sticks to the scale very reliably. The signal button is cleverly hidden from trained fingers. And every time, passing an emergency intersection, it is easier to open the window, stick out the "face" in the window and signal with "familiar phrases". I am in love with the car of my own free will and I do not find an alternative to it due to its harmlessness and altruism.

Dignity : an economical and easy-to-operate vehicle.

disadvantages : insulation.

Dacia Sandero, 2008

Hello everyone. There was no desire to buy a Dacia Sandero, but after he drove through the village in an Opel Astra and bent the crankcase guard in the place where he flew on Kalina, the seller said that such holes should be avoided. I told him that we have such cars at every traffic light in Samara, so this car will not work for me and went to watch Dacia Sandero. I have spoken for 6 months, the first month I was just in shock, like a car, which is already 6 years old, nothing rattles. The speed turns on clearly, the radiator fan is not audible at all, the pedals are soft. I only changed the timing belt with a roller and oil 4000 rubles. along with work. All the stabilizer rubber bands. It is worth autostart, from home I started it calmly at -20 (a friend went to Siberia in a Renault Sandero in 2011, started at -35). The city is the most - a good overview, etc., but there is not enough engine on the track. The motor, by the way, is 1.4 liters, 120 km / h is gaining quietly, and then you need to accelerate. Well, I mostly drive around the city, so I'm quite satisfied, we bought a Dacia Sandero to drive, and not to constantly fix it like this "Kalina". Of the minuses, I will say that there is no air conditioning, there is no steering wheel adjustment. These "dashes" with the fuel level, of course, got me - you never know the exact fuel level, so I always pour it with a margin (92nd), although according to the passport (95th) it is necessary to pour it. I put on good music, the sound in the car is pleasant, the radio catches perfectly. As for the place - in Dacia Sandero it is simply full, the six of them fit quietly. In short, I am completely satisfied with the car, for this money I could have taken an almost new "Grant", well, no, enough to feed the store (auto parts).

Dignity : reliable. Practical. Convenient. Easy to operate. Roomy.

disadvantages : "Dashes" with the fuel level. Lack of air conditioning.

Dacia Sandero, 2009

Dacia Sandero - my first car, bought in 2014, had 120 thousand mileage, from Germany. Budget car, very happy with low fuel consumption. For 35 thousand kilometers, there are no breakdowns, only consumables have changed. Of the minuses: the trunk is too small, the insulation wants to be better. From the useful: air conditioning, heated mirrors, speakerphone Parrot CK3100, rear parking sensors, alloy wheels R16, immobilizer.

Dignity : price quality. Comfort. Convenience.

disadvantages : insulation.

The new Dacia Sandero Stepway crossover has recently attracted more and more buyers. In this article, we will figure out what caused this, and whether it really deserves such high sales ratings. We will also consider its main characteristics, with which it attracts its customers so much.

All motorists know that Dacia is a division of Renault. But it is not yet known which of them produces better cars - a teacher or a student, because the representatives of the concerns do not disclose such data. Basically, their cars are very similar to each other. They are small and powerful. Dacha Sandero Stepway does not stand out from the general row. But, this is only at first glance, and if you "dig" deeper, it immediately becomes clear that the car, although considered a budget one, is made in the traditions of the best representatives of the "luxury class" segment.

Interior, exterior and interior of Dacia Sandero Stepway

Dacia Sandero Stepway in the current, second generation, looks very good outwardly. Bumpers painted in a different color from the body are a new non-standard solution of the company. They were fitted with chrome plates to avoid significant damage in accidents and collisions. Models have increased ground clearance by 40 millimeters, which is noticeable in the shape and shape of the wheels. The suspension was additionally reconfigured here to overcome mountain roads and long distances.

The dimensions of the Dacia Sandero Stepway are 4081 millimeters long, 1733 millimeters wide and 1618 millimeters high. The wheelbase is 2590 millimeters. The color scheme is very diverse, and you can choose what suits you best.

Inside the Dacia Sandero Stepway, we will not see anything mind-blowing, except for the options. The seat upholstery consists of a regular one-color fabric. But on the other hand, if you've seen the previous generation, you can appreciate the breakthrough that designers have made. As an entertainment system, you get touchscreen, navigation, cruise control and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Also worth mentioning is MP3 with USB and Bluetooth. You can sync all your gadgets with the system and connect speakerphones. By the way, the display is touch-sensitive. Their advantages of the salon can be called even the high position of the driver's seat. This creates a valid viewing angle. The passenger seats are also quite soft and comfortable, although they, in fact, do not have any lateral support, and if a person is obese, the seat will seem very small to him. The back row is made compact but cozy. With any height and weight, three people can be accommodated here. With all of this, they will not sit like a "herring in a barrel", and their feet will not touch the front row.

The trunk of the Dacia Sandero Stepway is quite roomy. It will hold 320 liters of luggage, and if you fold the seats, then as much as 1200 liters will fit here. But, the coating of hard dark plastic in the cabin appears everywhere, spoiling the overall picture.

Specifications Dacia Sandero Stepway

The updated Dacia Sandero Stepway cannot boast of engine restyling. But, their line is very diverse. The most popular example is 1.5 DCI. It has been installed on cars for many years, and, therefore, all errors in its operation have already been corrected. In terms of power, you can be offered a motor with 90, 75 and 110 horsepower.

The engine runs very quietly. In the cabin, you can't hear it at all. Either good sound insulation works, or the motor itself gives out such characteristics. Also, you will not feel any vibration. Even under high loads, or when driving on a snowy road, you will not hear a sound from it.

The Dacia Sandero Stepway has a five-speed transmission. It works on mechanics, which is a big plus, because the crossover is better controlled with this type of gearbox. At a speed of 140 kilometers per hour, the car travels at 2750 rpm. The maximum you can reach is 167 kilometers per hour.

Thanks to these characteristics, the car has significantly reduced its weight compared to the previous generation. It now weighs 1,158 kilograms in running order. As for fuel consumption, the instructions are a little lying. In mixed driving, the vehicle must consume 4 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. He complies with this characteristic. But individually, the sensors show much differently than we expected.

In city mode, the Dacia Sandero Stepway should consume 4.6 liters of fuel. In fact, she "asks" for 5 - 5.2 liters. In the case of driving on the highway, the opposite is true. According to the documents, the car must use 3.7 liters, but it "eats" only 3.2 - 3.5 liters. So much for the arithmetic mean of four liters.

The suspension setup is very quiet, and keep in mind that the car is front-wheel drive. Especially you will be able to appreciate it when you do not feel any discomfort on bumps.

Let's start with the cons, because the car has a lot more pluses:

  • as already mentioned, the interior design of the car "smacks" of very budget technologies;
  • fuel economy in the city is realized only on paper.

Pros:

  • a minimum of gasoline is consumed on the highway;
  • there is a lot of space inside, which is completely enough for four adults, not counting the driver;
  • roomy trunk;
  • powerful engine;
  • interesting external design;
  • extensive equipment.

The cost of Dacia Sandero Stepway can be attributed to one of the advantages, because if we consider car dealerships in the USA, then the basic version will cost 7190 euros, and a car with the maximum "bells and whistles" will cost only 12,600 euros. In Europe, the model is even cheaper. Of course, to buy Dacia Sandero Stepway or not depends only on your preferences. But, in our opinion, a compact crossover, which can accelerate to 100 kilometers in 11 seconds, and drive more than one hundred kilometers without refueling, while not requiring special operating conditions, deserves your attention. In our opinion, the Dacia Sandero Stepway is the best and most rational car in the segment. And the salon, in the end, can be altered.

Off-road wagons are not such a new segment, but at the moment one of its branches is gaining popularity ̶ cars that allow getting out into nature, but at the same time devoid of front-wheel drive and positioned in the budget price segment. The demand for similar monocab in Europe is quite large, so it is not surprising that many manufacturers are striving to take their place in this niche.

One of these manufacturers is Renault, and not so long ago, its subsidiary, represented by Dacia, presented the Logan MCV with the Stepway prefix. Will the novelty be able to become a class leader?

The new Dacia Logan MCV Stepway was presented to the public in March 2017, at the international auto show in Geneva. The French monocab under the Romanian brand is positioned as an "off-road" station wagon and has received the appropriate external attributes.

So, the exterior of the Dacia Logan MSV with the Stepway attachment, relative to the standard modification of the model, is distinguished by increased ground clearance, a body kit and wheel arch linings made of black plastic, bumpers with pseudo-metal linings, black roof rails, silver side-view mirror housings and a unique design of wheel rims. The main feature of the salon is the seats with combined color upholstery.

The list of equipment of the model is notable for the presence of:

  • 16-inch light-alloy wheels.
  • Roof rails.
  • 4-spoke multifunction steering wheel with leather braiding.
  • Multimedia and entertainment complex with a seven-inch touch screen, Bluetooth, USB-connector.
  • Parktronic.
  • Air conditioner.
  • 12V sockets.
  • Rear view cameras (option).
  • Navigation systems.
  • Leather seat upholstery (option).
  • Sliding luggage cover.
  • Several color options for the body "metallic".
  • Airbags for the driver, front passenger.
  • Power windows front / all doors.
  • Servos and heated side-view mirrors.
  • Electric heated front seats.
  • Central locking system with remote control.
  • Immobilizer.

Despite its wide popularity in the European market, the Dacia brand is not officially represented in Russia. In this regard, the price of the new Logan MSV Stepway has not been determined. But residents of the Old World can buy a new product for at least 11 thousand 900 euros.

Specifications

The Dacia Logan MCV Stepway gasoline range is represented by 0.9 and 1.0 liter units. The power of the first is equal to 90 forces, the second ̶ 73.

The low-power version is equipped exclusively with a five-speed manual transmission, then the 0.9-liter unit can also dock with a robotic five-speed gearbox.

The diesel range consists of 1.5 liter engines. Power output is 75 and 90 horsepower. Transmissions ̶ mechanical or robotic in five stages.

Basic parameters of the model:

The new Dacia Logan MSV Stepway is built on the B0 platform. The front suspension scheme is made according to the McPherson principle, the rear one is a semi-adjustable torsion beam.

Owner review

You can find information of interest about the model (video, various article reviews) on special thematic resources. Among the mass of data, there are also reviews of the owners, allowing you to look at the operation of the car from the point of view of the owner.

I moved to Dacia Logan MSV Stepway from the usual Logan MSV. I needed a car with a high ground clearance in order to sometimes get out into nature, but there was no desire or financial ability to change to a crossover. Therefore, when Stepway entered the market, I did not think for a long time and chose it without hesitation.

Currently, the mileage on the odometer is 24 thousand kilometers. During this time, Logan MSV Stepway managed to go through MOT at an authorized dealer, but apart from consumables in the car, I did not change anything else.

Now about the impressions. I must admit that on a new car I can drive country roads more confidently, and ignore curbs altogether, because the Logan MCV Stepway's ground clearance is 205 millimeters (versus 165 millimeters for the usual station wagon variation).

A 1.5-liter diesel engine with a 90-horsepower output pleased me not only with vigorous traction, but also with good economy ̶ on average, it consumed 5.5 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers.

I also liked the practical and beautiful upholstery of the chairs. And, of course, one cannot fail to note the spacious interior and trunk.

On the downside, I will bring a weak soundproofing of the wheel arches, a weak head light (I consider the lamps of the H4 base to be complete anarchism in our time). The clarity of the engagement of the manual transmission gears and the tight clutch pedal also raises claims, but this is more nitpicking ...

Otherwise, the car pleases and I hope that it will last for a long time.

Test Drive

Exterior design

Dacia Logan MCV Stepway 2017-2018 model year looks very avant-garde. Such a look is given to this station wagon by "all-road" attributes in the form of silver lining on bumpers, a body kit made of black plastic, black roof rails and a large mesh of the front air intake.

Short body overhangs, coupled with high ground clearance, make it possible to confidently storm even massive curbs, as well as move over bumpy terrain without fear of damaging body parts.

Interior

The interior was assembled neatly, but the quality of the finish itself is not perfect ̶ the plastic is hard and echoing, and the fabric on the chairs is rough. There are practically no complaints about ergonomics, except for the audio control keys, which are located on the steering column, and not on the steering wheel itself ̶ in a turn, you will not be able to switch the music composition to the next one.

The dashboard is recessed into shallow wells that have chrome surround. It reads perfectly and does not tire the eyes at night due to the soft moonlight.

As for the center console, its architecture is archaic, especially for the climate control unit in the form of three rotating washers. However, the situation can be saved by the color screen of the multimedia and entertainment complex.

It fits well into the interior, giving it a share of respect. In addition, the screen is capable of projecting the image from the rear view camera and the readings of the navigation system.

The driver's seat is dominated by good lateral support, however, the geometry of the landing can be overshadowed by the absence of a pronounced lumbar zone ̶ when traveling long distances, this is fraught with pain in the lower back.

The three of them will be cramped on the second-row sofa, but two passengers will feel extremely at ease even with an increase of 185 centimeters ̶ there is enough free space in all directions. The trunk with a volume of 537 liters pleases with the correct shape of the cargo compartment, high loading height.

Driving properties

The 0.9-liter petrol engine pulls well at medium speeds, but at low speeds it absolutely lacks torque, so it is very difficult to move from low speeds without vibration.

The manual box is well combined with the power unit due to the optimally selected gear row, but it pleases with the amplitude moves of the lever and not always clear gear selections.

The steering wheel, surprisingly, has quite accurate reactions and is quite informative. But when passing bends, you should not feed any special illusions ̶ the high center of mass of the car provokes high body rolls, diagonal buildup, so you need to be careful with the speed on the arc.

The suspension can feel a little harsh, especially on shallow potholes. But its high energy intensity allows you to drive over bumps at a fairly high speed, without fear of damage to the shock absorber struts.

Bottom line: the new Dacia Logan MCV Stepway will surely appeal to the residents of the countryside. This station wagon has good geometric cross-country ability and will not give up in front of a deep rut or snowdrift. And on the asphalt the behavior of the car is clear and predictable. Add to this a spacious interior, rich equipment and we will get the optimal version of a monocab for different occasions.
